Consistent neutrality

This is typical of Switzerland: The BMW Group will continue to focus on technological neutrality and offer a wide range of drive solutions – from the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (BMW iX5 Hydrogen 2028) to the new all-electric NEW CLASS platform. This guarantees maximum flexibility and innovation to meet individual customer needs and shape the future of sustainable mobility. Oliver Zipse, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW AG: “The New Class represents a giant leap: in technology, in driving experience, and in design.” And this applies across the entire portfolio – regardless of the drive system.

New “Sheer Driving Pleasure”

“The ‘Sheer Driving Pleasure’ – that’s our heritage,” emphasized Jochen Goller, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG, during his visit to Dielsdorf. “And it’s also our future. Because we are convinced: there is no future without a heritage. With the New Class, we are laying the foundation to continue our success story here in Switzerland!” By 2027, 40 new and revised models featuring the technologies of the New Class and the new design language will be launched worldwide. The technology clusters will be rolled out across the entire portfolio – regardless of the powertrain. The BMW iX3 will kick things off in March 2026.

Customers in digital focus

With the new "Retail.Next" concept, BMW and MINI are strengthening their dealer network in Switzerland to offer customers a seamless, digital, and personalized buying experience. Innovative technology and local proximity are combined to better meet individual customer needs and make the future of mobility tangible. The customer is the focus, not the vehicle. "Retail.Next" also aims to simplify and optimize the work of dealers and their employees with more flexible and modern workplaces.

Future-proof infrastructure

The brands of the BMW Group Switzerland are committed to a pragmatic, fact-based approach to the further development of electromobility. The challenges, particularly the need for a comprehensive charging infrastructure, remain, which is why a technology-neutral approach to CO2 reduction is advocated. Alternative fuels and hydrogen vehicles complement electromobility effectively, enabling a sustainable and realistic mobility transition – in collaboration with industry, policymakers, and businesses.
